COSTARIPA - MATTIA VEZZOLA - LOMBARDY

The Costaripa winery is located in the heart of the Valtènesi vineyards and on the shores of Lake Garda. Since 1936 the vinery has been family owned, now in its third generation, and has been managed for decades with passion by the world-famous oenologist Mattia Vezzola.

The climate of the Valtènesi is dominated by its unique sub-Mediterranean microclimate, decisively influenced by its immediate location on the largest lake of Italy.

The production is done with utmost attention to detail and respect for the wine: harvest by hand, traditional red wine vinification and ageing mainly in small oak barrels.

All wines clearly bear the signature of the globally recognized oenologist Mattia Vezzola, who has been awarded the title of “Best Oenologist of the Year” several times since 2004.

Costaripa – synonym for wines that meet the highest quality standards:

Special achievements include the reinterpretation of the autochthonous Groppello grape, used in particular for the Valtenesi Rosè wines such as RosaMara and Molmenti. Among the red wines, Maim Valtènesi stands out as a wine of elegance and individuality, pleasantly accessible and 100% made from Groppello Gentile.

The Mattia Vezzola product line can be considered the sparkling wine line from Costaripa – MattiaVezzola. The first sparkling wine on Lake Garda was produced in 1973 using the Italian “metodo classico”. Nowadays, 3 sparkling wine variations are marketed as Mattia Vezzola Rosé, Brut and Crémant, all harmonious, spicy and of excellent complexity.
