Cantina Girardi Spumanti - Veneto

The Girardi Spumanti winery was founded in 1925 by Martino Girardi in the province of Treviso between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. It is a unique area and home of the sparkling wines par excellence, known worldwide for its designation of origin “Prosecco Superiore DOCG”, which is produced in this zone from the local Glera grape variety .

Nowadays, the third generation of the company is managed by the experienced and recognized oenologist Luca Girardi. On 8 hectares of vineyards over 40,000 bottles are produced annually.

The wines stand out by an optimal sugar and alcohol content and a good acidity, which helps to improve and maintain the aromas.

Girardi Spumanti has two sparkling wine lines: the “Girardi” line with its Grande Cuvée Brut, Cuvée Millesimata Extra Dry and Cartizze, and the “Monchera” line, from the Monchera vineyards of the same name. This line includes the classic Prosecco Monchera in the Brut and Millesimato versions, as well as an inspiration from the oenologist, an excellent Cuvée Rosé Rosae.

The “Girardi” line is a selection of hillside vineyards with an average age of 25 to 30 years. The wines have an intense aroma with hints of apple and pear and an elegant, salty structure on the palate.
The Monchera line originates from younger vineyards, aged 5 to 15 years. The wines are characterized by their freshness and drinkability at every opportunity.

All products from Girardi Spumanti surely represent the “taste of Italy” and are definitely the right choice for those who wish to have a bit of “terroir” in their glasses.
